Heartless

The weather's been a bit gloomy here in Vegas, but I love it. This cold weather gives me an excuse to actually do a little bit of layering. This Fall, I'll be experimenting with shades of gray and black. These two shades are so minimal, but very influential. My entire look is inspired by London's street style. I just love the cutting edge trends I've seen from the bloggers based out in London. I'm obsessed! This particular look gives me that little bit of "edge" I enjoy taking on from time to time.

'Highlight' of the summer

Neon/highlighter colors are just too good to avoid. I love the bold statements these particular colors create and this look is no exception. I knew my trousers were already going to be the "highlight" of the outfit, but I wanted to take this trend a step further. I paired these trousers with a striped shirt, which includes a neon stripe across the chest, and a pair of shoes with bright colored soles. A blue blazer and a few accessories finish off the look. Sometimes, you just have to take risks!

Shop online @ HM.com / CONTEST

Hi buddies!

I wanted to share my recent purchase from HM.com/US. If you don't already know, you can now shop online, if you live in the US, in the comfort of your own home. I have a few of H&M's easy iron shirts, so I decided to order a few more. I personally love the fit of these shirts and $14.95 is a really good deal. This jacket was just too good to pass up so I bought it. I absolutely love it! I cannot wait to style it during the fall. Lastly, I've been looking for a neon yellow beanie for a while. Thankfully, my search has come to an end for only $5.95.

Contest:
Tomorrow (Aug. 21, 2013) will be the last day to enter H&M's 50 States of Fashion contest. Show off your personal style by uploading a photo of yourself on Instagram using the hashtag #HMShopOnlineXX (XX-State you're from). You never know, you could be the winner of a trip to NYC and a shopping spree to H&M.

Back To School

Hi buddies!

It's that time of year... back to school! I wanted to do a little series of back to school looks during the next couple of weeks in hopes of giving you guys some ideas on days you seem to be uninspired.

This first look is definitely inspired by the summer. I'm sure for most of us, the weather is still nice and warm in our areas so our summer wardrobe still applies for the beginning of the school year. A button up shirt casually tucked into my cuffed trousers allows this outfit to look effortless. I based this look around my new Sperry boat shoes. With these green shoes being my focal point, I wanted to pull complementary colors for the rest of my outfit. Shades of blue and brown allow the shoes to do all the talking. I'm using a black satchel to help neutralize the look because I know for some, "color" can be a tad bit intimidating. A simple pair of wayfarer sunglasses and a woven fedora completes this summer inspired back to school look.
