Levi's 501 (2.0)

Today, I’m styling the Levi’s 501 jeans for the Levi's x Lookbook.nu online campaign. If you are not familiar with the 501 jeans from Levi’s, I suggest you go out and try a pair on. They’re pretty versatile, which is something I can appreciate from this particular collection.

As far as the look, I wanted something casual. The backdrop of these photos gave me a "90s feel" so I wanted the look to have a bit of a 90s vibe. I actually cropped my jeans to make them more appropriate for the weather here in Vegas. It's hot! I know a lot of men might not be used to wearing cropped jeans, but I personally like this particular trend. The 501 jeans in this look adds character and if you know me, I’m all about character! You can simply cuff these jeans to get this “cropped” effect or a pair of scissors won’t hurt either. It’s simple and easy! If you want to get your hands on a pair, you can get one here

Levi's and Lookbook.nu are actually having a contest! Are you a 501 expert? Visit the link for more details.

Sunday's Attire

I went to church today since it was Palm Sunday. It's a bit chilly in Vegas so I was excited to throw on a blazer. I decided to color block with a color combination I've been eyeing for quite some time now. I just think teal and purple are a match made in heaven. Besides, it works perfectly well with my polarized sunglasses. :)

Mark Nason for Skechers

New shoes!!!! Woohoo! lol
These shoes are genius! They're my second pair from the Mark Nason and Skechers collabo. I absolutely love the quality of the shoes and they fit really nicely. I needed a neutral pair to add to my collection so I had to pick these up at Nordstrom Rack. They are identical to Cole Haan's Lunargrand Wingtips, which we all love, but at a fraction of the price!

I know some people will say these are a "knock-off," but the proper term is "inspired" because nothing on this shoe says it's "Cole Haan." Yes, there's a difference. lol

I love Cole Haan shoes, but I'm a bargain shopper so if I can't afford to get me a pair, I'll look else where. :)

Levi's 501 Original Fit Pants Pt. 1

What's your interpretation?
Today I’m styling Levi’s 501 original fit pants. I was contacted by Lookbook.nu to be a part of this collaboration so I immediately said yes! Levi's jeans are iconic and this particular pair is no exception. They looklike your average pair of denim, but I did not have to break into them likeother denim jeans in my closet. As you can see in one of my photos, I snapped a photo of me jumping while wearing these 501 pants. They were lightweight right off the bat and I absolutely love that about them. I use these pants for more casual looks, but you can easily dress this up and look sophisticated because they have so much potential.

Check back to see another way I’ve styled these jeans. :)

GBX wingtips

These GBX color block wingtips are absolutely awesome! I wanted it to be the stand out piece for this particular look so I kept the rest of my outfit pretty casual. I'm very big on comfort; thankfully, I didn't have to break these in. They were pretty easy to walk in right off the bat which is a huge plus for me. The contrast of the light gray with the vibrant orange is everything to me! One of my staple pieces in my collection.

HYPE tee c/o Lookbook.nu

I'm on vacation so please forgive for all these late post.

It was a casual type of day. Houston's weather is phenom this time of year so I'm very glad I came here when I did. My nephew made a little cameo on today's look. He's such a little ball of fire!

Coral Trousers (Color blocking)

So we had a company meeting yesterday so it was only appropriate to dress for the current season. I've been meaning to pair this navy printed shirt with these coral trousers for so long now. FINALLY, I had the opportunity. I liked how this color combination turned out. It works really nicely, together.

Side note: I'm going on vacation starting tomorrow! I'll be sure to post some stuff while I'm away, but I cannot wait to spend time with my family. Houston, here I come!
